Civic Orchestra in Blenheim
Attached to the latest newsletter is a transport slip for an excursion to Blenheim. Next Thursday, we are taking all students into the new ASB Theatre, to watch a free performance by the Marlborough Civic Orchestra. The programme is about 45 mins -1 hour long. It includes the children being introduced to the various sections of the orchestra and then listening to tunes such as “Pirates of the Caribbeanâ€, “Wallace and Grommitâ€, “Harry Potter†and “Star Warsâ€. There will be interactive components as well.
Unfortunately, there is only enough seating allocated for the children and teachers, so transport providers will not be able to attend. (However it would be a great opportunity for you to get jobs done in town on that day).
Following this performance we will walk down to the pool at Stadium 2000, from 1-2 pm, for all to have a mid-Winter swim. You can meet us there and then take the children home in time to catch the buses.
